Brief information for planning in Spain

The most important key data on the postcode system and route planning on the Iberian Peninsula.

      Format

      The ES postcode system

In Spain, the standard format for postcodes is exactly 5-digit (e.g. 28001). The first two digits typically stand for the region or province. Our search is robust enough to correctly assign place names with accents (e.g. Málaga).

      Transport

      Disposition & axles

Spain has enormous logistics hubs. Especially around Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia large distribution centres and seaports are concentrated here. Our airline radius planning helps to find additional loads in the vicinity of the hubs for fast scheduling.

      Workflow

      Fast & precise work

Use the compass function to narrow down your catchment areas precisely (e.g. only towards the Mediterranean coast). The 1-click copy puts the postcode directly into your clipboard - ideal for immediate pasting into Timocom, Wtransnet or your TMS.

      Frequently asked questions

Why does the search for „Malaga“ also work without an accent?
Our search engine normalises your entries. So you don't have to type in any Spanish accents. However, the results will always show the officially correct original spelling.
Why do the markers disappear when I select „All“?
This is a protective function. If you query a radius of 100 km and click on „All“, hundreds of markers would make the map illegible. The map then only shows the starting point for orientation, while the list shows you all hits exactly.
What does „Top 10 / Top 20“ mean in the Spanish context?
One hit is selected for each postcode prefix (the first 2 digits of the Spanish postcode). As these prefixes often correspond to provinces, this gives you a perfect and tidy geographical overview of the delivery area.
