Brief information for Czech Republic planning

The most important key data on the postcode system and route planning in CZ at a glance.

      Format

      The CZ postcode system

In the Czech Republic, the standard format for postcodes is 123 45 (with spaces). Our tool is clever: you can also enter 12345 or 123-45, the system understands you and automatically converts it into the official format.

      Transport

      Disposition & Transit

The Czech Republic is one of the most important transit countries in Eastern Europe. Industrial clusters are strongly concentrated in the areas Prague, Brno and Ostrava. Many routes run directly via the axes towards Germany and Austria (border traffic).

      Workflow

      Fast & precise work

Use the compass function to precisely narrow down your catchment areas. The 1-click copy (Clipboard Icon) packs the raw postcode directly into your clipboard - ideal for immediate insertion into Timocom or your forwarding system.

      Frequently asked questions

Why are special character entries often still correct?
Our search engine normalises your entries. This means you don't have to type in any special Czech characters (diacritics such as ř or č). However, the officially correct spelling is always displayed in the results.
Why do the markers disappear when I select „All“?
This is a protective function. If you query a radius of 100 km and click on „All“, hundreds of markers would turn the map into an unreadable blue carpet. The map then only shows the starting point for orientation, while the list shows you all hits exactly.
What does the small clipboard button copy?
The copy button to the left of the postcode intentionally copies only the digits (e.g. 12345) into your clipboard without spaces. We have built it this way because most freight exchanges (Timocom etc.) often throw error messages when spaces are inserted.
