Questions about the CMR consignment note template

How do I fill in the CMR consignment note on my computer?
Open the file in the free Adobe Acrobat Reader or directly in your browser (Chrome, Edge or Firefox) and click into the fields. Then save the completed form as a new file. Please note that some basic PDF apps and preview apps on phones only display the fields and do not save what you type.
How many copies do I need?
Under Article 5 of the CMR Convention, the consignment note is made out in three original copies signed by the sender and the carrier. The first copy goes to the sender, the second travels with the goods and the third is kept by the carrier. Tick the box at the top of each copy to show who it is for.
Is a CMR consignment note I print myself valid?
The CMR Convention does not prescribe a specific form. Article 6 sets out which particulars the consignment note must contain, and our template follows the usual layout with exactly these particulars. You can read the full text in the UN Treaty Collection (English and French). Even so, check whether your customer or insurer requires a particular form. The template is provided without warranty and is not legal advice.

Questions about the vehicle overview and Euro pallets

How accurate are the figures in the vehicle overview?
They are guide values for common body types, because internal dimensions and payload vary by manufacturer and equipment. Pallet spaces are calculated without tolerances and without stacking. The vehicle documents, manufacturer data and load securing rules always take precedence. For your actual load, use the 3D loading metre calculator.
How can I tell whether a Euro pallet is exchangeable?
An exchangeable EPAL Euro pallet carries “EPAL in an oval” on the left corner block and the IPPC marking on the centre block. No boards or blocks may be missing or broken, and the pallet must not be rotten, wet or so dirty that it could contaminate the goods. Pallets marked only “EUR” in an oval have not been exchangeable with EPAL pallets since 1 May 2017. All features and quality classes are covered in the Euro pallet fact sheet. The current rules of the European Pallet Association (EPAL) are binding.
Can I share the templates within my company?
Yes. You may print and fill in the files within your company and pass them on to colleagues, customers or drivers. Please do not offer them for download as your own templates; link to this page instead.

Of course. Email us at kontakt@plzprofi.de and tell us which template would help you in your daily work. Requests from practice take priority, and that includes English versions of the German files.
